Oscar Night® America at Tucson's Crown Jewel, The FOX Tucson Theater!
The Daily Red Carpet was privileged to be invited to attend an Oscar Night® America Event in the beautiful and historic city of Tucson, Arizona! The event is held annually at The FOX Tucson Theater, the Crown Jewel of downtown Tucson.

Oscar Night® America at Tucson's Crown Jewel was covered by Tucson's ABC affiliate KGUN 9!

Local hosts Ian Reitz of KGUN TV and Mrs. Grant of 94.9 Mixfm hosted the event.

The Founders of The Daily Red Carpet, Stephen Crowley and the Lovely Cal Bosch, attend the Oscar Night® America at Tucson's Crown Jewel, The FOX Tucson Theater!
Proceeds from the event support the efforts of the Fox Tucson Theater Foundation (FTTF). The FTTF is dedicated to the preservation of this historic icon of local Motion Picture and Stage Performance heritage. The FOX was originally built in 1929 and designed as a dual vaudeville/movie house! The Fox featured a stage, full fly-loft, and dressing rooms beneath the stage! Time had taken it’s toll on The FOX Tucson Theater and it seemed destined for the wrecking ball.
Like a Disneyland Fairy tale, this story has a happy ending! The Tucson community banded together and after many failed attempts the people of this fair town saved their prized Crown Jewel from certain destruction!
Today the FOX Tucson Theater has been completely refirbished, much to it’s original Grand Luster! The outside and interior is simply beautiful! My lovely partner, Cal Bosch and I were in awe, which added a sense of magic and enchantment to this Oscar Night® America. You can find out more about The FOX Tucson Theater at their website, www.FoxTucsonTheater.org

Oscar Night® America (ONA), the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ grassroots program, enables charities to host glamorous fund-raising parties annually. Since its inception in 1994, the program has generated nearly $27 million in funding for a wide spectrum of charitable organizations – every cent staying within the community where it was raised, none going to the Academy.
